The Opportunity Bridge

Open 100 Doors.

Connecting young talent from disadvantaged communities with businesses, professionals, universities and institutions capable of providing meaningful opportunity.

Breaking the glass ceiling

Talent should not be limited by postcode, household income or access to professional networks.

Opportunity Bridge is designed to address the gap between potential and access. Exposure to professions, trusted mentors, workplace experience and networks can change what a young person believes is possible—and create the practical connections needed to progress.

3 • 6 • 12 • 24 months

Progress will be tracked across mentoring, workplace experience, education, internships, apprenticeships, employment, professional careers, entrepreneurship and network development.

The Opportunity Gap

Programme evidence is intended to contribute to JPI's planned research into the barriers between talent and opportunity. The objective is not only to open doors for one cohort, but to understand which interventions create durable progression.

Parliament & public policy

Bringing community experience into policymaking.

Opportunity Bridge can provide a cross-party, non-partisan forum in which parliamentarians and policymakers engage directly with young people, communities, employers and programme evidence around social mobility and access to opportunity.
